Gestalt Therapy is a dynamic, present-focused approach to healing that emphasizes self-awareness and embodied experience. Rather than analyzing from a distance, we explore what arises in the here-and-now — thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and relational patterns — to uncover deeper understanding and new possibilities.

This modality is often described as working “from the ground up,” helping you reconnect with the language of your body and the meanings you have made from your lived experiences.

About Your Therapist

Hello, I’m Jennifer Abbotts.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) [RP(Q)], having completed the five-year intensive training program at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto. For the past two years, I have been working closely with clients, supporting them through a range of emotional and relational challenges.

My background combines over a decade of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist with a deep commitment to Gestalt Psychotherapy. This integrated approach honors the whole person — body, mind, and lived experience — and creates space for authentic change to unfold.

I am registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and bring compassion, curiosity, and presence to every session. It’s my privilege to walk alongside you as you explore what’s arising in your life, and to support you in discovering new possibilities for connection, clarity, and well-being.
